General Terms & Conditions

Participants must:

  • Be over 16 years of age.
  • Be in a fit physical condition.
  • Have reasonable walking experience.
  • Have wind and waterproof clothing & wear suitable footwear.
  • Bring a fully charged mobile phone.
  • Sign in at the start and finish check points on the day.
  • Pay the entry fee in advance (booking is online only, see booking options below).

Note: Strictly no dogs (or other animals) allowed. It doesn’t matter how placid, gorgeous or in need of exercise they are, we can’t accommodate them on buses and are not insured to deal with them along the route.

COVID-19 Guidelines:

At time of publishing, COVID-19 guidelines for events are still relatively fluid. We are bound to comply with all guidelines issued and, as such, this may require alterations to the event and schedule, over which we have no control. Knockmealdown Active reserves the right to make such alterations as deemed necessary.

It may be necessary, prior to the event, to require that participants declare that they have not had COVID in the two weeks before the event, present proof of COVID vaccination or agree to an Antigen test, carried out at the expense of the participant.

If the event has to be cancelled for reasons outside of the control of Knockmealdown Active, those who have booked will be issued with a full refund, less a small handling fee.

What is Covered in your fee:

Payment covers buses to take walkers to the walk start, team leaders and medics on hand during the event. It also includes refreshments before and after the event. Walkers should make sure to bring snacks and drinks to last for the duration of the event.

NOTE: Current public health guidelines mean that buses can only run at 50% capacity. To facilitate safe throughput of participants, you will need to click on the ‘Bus Departure’ option for each stage you wish to book and choose a 10am or 11am  departure time. If one of the times is not displaying, it has been sold out. Once selected, you can add the desired Quantity of participants before adding this selection to your cart. If choosing more than one stage, just select all the stages, quantities and bus times you require, then use the top ‘Add To Cart‘ button to add them all together.

When all stages have been added go to Your Cart page (or Checkout on the menu above) to review your purchase, pay and check-out. Credit Card options appear on the Checkout page.
